2010: We are a world of almost 7 billion people - over 2 billion are under the age of 20. We are growing at a rate of approximately 222,000 people per day. We are 6,900 living languages in 195 countries. Together we face global problems that seem overwhelming.

So what? Says who? Who cares?

TEDxTeen curated a lineup of international youth (sprinkled with some compelling adults who made big waves as teens) who are tackling the big questions and big problems with passion and action. What are teens across the globe doing to make a difference? You might be surprised!

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx.

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxTeen, where x=independently organized TED event. At our TEDxTeen event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
