Legendary music innovator Q-Tip rose to prominence in 1988 as one of the founders of the group A Tribe Called Quest, whose genre-bending influences permanently altered hip-hop's musical lexicon. In 1998 Q-Tip released his first solo album Amplified, which boasted Grammy nominated "Vivrant Thing" and "Breathe & Stop." In 2008, his sophomore album The Renaissance earned a Grammy nod for Best Rap Album. Just a year later Kamaal the Abstract garnered critical acclaim.

Revered by artists of all genres, Q-Tip's long list of collaborators includes R.E.M, Nas, Will.I.Am, Mariah Carey, D' Angelo, Busta Rhymes, Korn, Fergie and Janet Jackson. Most recently, Q-Tip has been producing music for some of today's most influential artists including Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, as well as on Hiatus Kaiyote and John Legend's latest albums, both of which were recently nominated for Grammys.
